In 1995, the Campiliis and Snyders acquired the property and converted the small blue home into the Center for Physical Therapy. By 1998, the practice had grown tremendously and they were forced to expand. The modern facility was erected to include an indoor therapy pool, an extensive gym to accommodate state-of-art fitness equipment, locker rooms, and a large, colorful playroom designed specifically for Pediatric patients. In 2001 the property was once again expanded to include the Annex, a small formerly white house two doors down. Center for Physical Therapy uses unique equipment and technology to guarantee high quality treatment for each individual. The facility encompasses an indoor heated pool, a pediatric center, a Nintendo Wii station, and a full line of fitness equipment. Center for Physical Therapy treats patients who need orthopedic, pediatric, or aquatic therapy, as well as those suffering from sports injuries.

The Center for Physical Therapy houses a pool unlike any other in Dutchess County. Our 16’ by 20’ therapy pool, custom built specifically for Aquatic Therapy, features multiple depths for ease of progression. The pool is equipped with a Badu system, a jet that provides 7-MPH of resistance to those who swim or run against it. Thirty-two Jacuzzi jets provide our patients with massage, desensitization, and relaxation. The extensive aquatic program is ideal for those suffering from athletic injuries, arthritis, or back and neck injuries

Our full line of fitness equipment includes stairmasters, bikes, treadmill, ellipse, upper body ergometers, free weights, and cable column. Also included are leg press, knee flexion, knee extension, hip machine, shoulder press, shoulder retraction, abdominal and back machines. We are unique to the area with a Cybex 2000 (isokinetics) which provides isokinetic testing and rehabilitation. Our staff also prides themselves in finding new ways to combine bands, aquatics, and tools to exercise in a sport specific manner. For example, patients run against a current in the pool while being anchored by a sports cord. Patients can also perform soccer drills on a trampoline with theratubing. They can also perform basketball skills outside on our court with the aid of a therapist. Most recently, we have developed a Wii Station. Patients have fun using the Nintendo Wii Game System, while making significant progress in their recovery. It is our belief that the therapy is much more enjoyable when patients do not have to work on machines all day. We think they would prefer to partake in the more sport-like activities.

Our clinic houses a fully equipped gymnasium, a Pediatric Room designed especially with our young population in mind and a heated pool to meet the needs of our patients who require Aquatic Therapy.
